Many years ago, I started a job in an institution located faraway from the city my family was based. I didn't want to stay in the nearby communities for a few reasons - security, transportation logistics, reliable electricity & water supply. I stayed in a temporary accomodation, trusting God that I would get a place on campus. I remember that my home church at the time was teaching about faith, confessions and not wavering from it. Somehow, I remember that I decided to practice it. I would pray from time to time, and believed I would get an apartment. I didn't want anything big, a studio apartment with one room, one living area, a kitchenette would do. I wasn't sure if my specification existed on campus, it didn't look like it, but I decided to trust God for it. I don't remember how long I waited, maybe 5 months or so,  but I remember that I kept believing.

One day, a senior colleague walked into my office, we were just chit chatting with other colleagues, from one topic to another. Somehow, we started talking about accommodation, then she asked where I was staying, I told her, and she didn't seem happy that I was staying there. It turned out she had a studio apartment that she hardly used for health reasons. She had been living with a relative for a while, but held on to the apartment just incase she needed it in the future. She said I could move into the apartment whenever I wanted. She handed over the keys to me for free, and that was how God worked things out for me. 

When I moved in, to my surprise, it was exactly what I had been asking for - a room (ensuite), a living area, a kitchenette. Just like that, God did it. I didn't think God would pay attention to the details of what I asked for!!! Now that I am think about it again, maybe He put the desire for what He was going to work out in me? And then taught me to keep speaking it forth and believe it?
